I love to see the temple...
We took a trip on Saturday to the Oakland temple. And by trip I mean it's closer to us than the Provo temple was to us in Spanish Fork. How lucky are we? It was a BEAUTIFUL day and the temple grounds are amazing. I can't wait to see it in a few months when everything is really blooming. You can go up on the roof of the temple and there are even more gardens. And the view? Say it with me now...AMAZING.
Luckily we have some cute YW in our ward to choose from when we need babysitters so I think we might have to venture inside soon :)

Funnies
When Sadie is holding her dolls or Bunny she pats them on the back like she's soothing them. Hilarious.
Sadie LOVES her shoes and brings them to me all the time to put them on her. This morning she wanted to wear her sandals but she was still in her PJs so I took her feet out of the PJs and put her shoes on. She was THRILLED with her funny little outfit.
She is really good at balancing things on her head and loves to show off this newfound skill with a hackey sack.
Oh and have I mentioned that she is a thumb-sucker now? Cuz she never takes it out. *Sigh*

Welcome home!
Yet again, I have taken pictures of our house to show you all. Why? because I can. This does not, however, give you an excuse to not come see it in person. And instead of 5 installments, I'm just throwing a bunch of photos on here.
Basic layout: living room/dining room/kitchen upstairs. Bedroom and bathroom downstairs.

Happy Birthday, Little Bug
I can't believe you're one year old today. That simultaneously makes my heart hurt and fills me with pride and joy. I could go on and on about the amazing things I've learned from you this year and the fun we've had being your parents. You are incredible. Every night when we get on our knees to pray we take a few minutes to marvel at some fun new thing you've done to make us laugh or make us proud. Your Daddy asks me, "Can we bring her in to sleep with us tonight? I miss her." And while we both know that is the worst idea ever, I know exactly what he means. We can't stand to be away from you. You are the light in our lives. You make us feel so happy and so blessed.
You are stunning. You are intelligent. You are cunning and sneaky. You are so loving. You are quick to laugh and smile.
You have touched many lives in only one year of life and I'm sure you will multiply that number every year for the rest of your life.
Happy Birthday, Sadie. We love you tremendously!

A Year of Sadie
In FAVORITES:
Foods: pasta and yogurt
Toys: Bunny and phones
Places: anywhere outside
People: she's always been a Mama's girl, but she loves her Daddy too and all of her family
Sounds to make: baba, ah-ya, mama, dada, bebe, bash, yah, squealing and humming, general babbling
Sounds to hear: music and singing
Color: pink
Books: Count My Kisses Little One, Big Book of Numbers, Cars, Trucks, Trains and Planes
Drink: soy milk
Show: Sesame Street (for about 10 min)
Games: Peek-a-boo, Isy Bitsy Spider, Pat-a-Cake, she loves to be chased
Animals: Dogs
Other: Baths, dropping things on the ground on purpose (especially food), laughing, digging in the trash, sucking her thumb, her pink sneakers, climbing, chewing, closing doors, eyelashes, kisses and hugs, bedtime, books.
Least favorite Foods: none that I can think of. She can't chew very well so sometimes she gets frustrated if the pieces are too big and she can't swallow them, but otherwise she's a vacuum.
Least favorite Places: Car seat and our laps at church
Least favorite People: Any stranger getting too close to her. This happens a lot and I get a lot of side eye looks from her that plead "HELP ME". It's her own darn fault.
Least favorite Sounds to Hear: Vacuum
Least favorite Animals: Dogs
Others: combing her hair after a bath, clipping her nails, suctioning her nose, wiping her nose, the sun in her eyes, not getting her way.
